LANSING – State Representative Lee Gonzales (D-Flint Township) was named Chair of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Transportation for the 94th Legislature.
"As we work to get Michigan's economy back on track, our roads and infrastructure will play a vital role," Gonzales said. "Creating jobs and shoring up our infrastructure are essential to economic development. I will fight to ensure that transportation issues facing our state get the attention they need, which will help create jobs and draw more businesses to Michigan."
Serving his second term on the House Appropriations Committee, Gonzales was also named Vice-Chair of the Higher Education subcommittee and as a member of the Joint Capital Outlay subcommittee.
